はじめはバイクが多いから道を渡るのは怖いと思ってたけど、バイクはこまわりがきくからみんなよけてくれるので、バングラみたいに決死の覚悟で道を渡らなくてもいい。

さすがに大通りを渡るのは勇気がいって、渡り終わった後の達成感に思わず声を上げてしまった。長い平均台を渡りきった感覚だ。

　男ばかりの大学の汗臭い教室にも慣れた最近。
理系男子のツボはどこにあるのか探り探りの授業がつづいてます。
女の子がいるクラスはまれで、だいたいが男塾100パーセントの教室です。彼女いない率95パーセントの悶々とした教室で受けるネタといえ恋愛ネタかエロネタ。ナンパ、スケベ、キスなどの言葉が例文作成で飛び交います。

この前、日本人で知っている人は？と聞いたとき、ハトヤマ、コイズミとかの政治人や、ナカタ、ナカムラのサッカー選手だろうとの予想を裏切り、一番の知名度を獲得したのは一郎小沢ならぬ、

「マリアオザワ」

男子学生の知名度実に100パーセント！

「私はオザワマリアを見て日本語の聴解をべんきょうしています」とのこと。「きもちいい」という言葉は彼女から習いました→爆笑

という感じのクラスをしています。

I am an outsider, it is for sure. And, as an outsider, I have to first learn to speak Vietnamese.

I've been thinking about this word 'outsider' since my friend mentioned it in email. I don't feel I am an outsider here, as long as walking around the street. I am an Asian, looks like almost the same to Vietnamese. European people cannot distinguish me to Vietnamese people, I think. In this sense, I am not an outsider. But, somehow I am a total outsider, when I try to communicate with locals here. Because my Vietnamese suck, and whenever I get on a taxi, or eat dinner, I have to use my poor Vietnamese. There are all kinds of miscommunication when I use Vietnamese.

Now that 2 months have passed here, I don't really feel like I like this country. It is not like Bangladesh where I used to be. Appart from culture and food, only one difference between BD and Vietnam is that whether I can speak the local language or not. I remember I began to like BD, because I began to talk to the local people in my town. So, I realized that I cannot say "I don't really like this country" before learning the local language.

I have some friends here. They are from JPN, Taiwan, Netherlands. As long as I speak Japanese and English, I am able to have a nice holiday with those ppl. But, this means I will be outside of Vietnam even I am in Vietnam. I don't want give myself utterly over to this country, but at least I have to be able to speak local language in some months later.

Babies and kids play, and sleep on bikes in Vietnam. He was playing on the bike with his grand father reading a newspaper in front. There are all kinds of HONDA bikes here! I like those old style ones.

Over 5 weeks have passed since I came to Hanoi. I am still struggling for getting use to the environment. New place and new culture, new colleague, new language. Everything is new to me, but it doesn't really feel like I am "outsider". I know, it is because I have 2 years experience in Bangladesh. I was an alien there. Compare to BD, Vietnamese look very much similar to us. Their culture is closer to that of Japan. They eat noodles a lot, they use to use Kanjis, they are shy, and they use chopsticks. But, this leads me to think about Bangladesh time and again, and I feel like something is lacking here. Something exciting, something energetic, or something very different. Maybe this is one of the diseases called Bangla Home Sick. I am missing BD very much.

So, I don't feel like I am an outsider, maybe that is a good thing. At least I don't get much stress walking around the street.
But one thing is pretty clear.
I still haven't got anyone to hang out with!

There was a Volleyball competition going on in Hanoi for 1 week.
I and my friends went to see the Consolation match for the third place, Japan vs Korea. The game was 3-0 victory of Japan.

I was totally became a fan of Kimura Saori. She is cute, and a really talented Volleyball player. I was really happy to see her in very short distance when she came out from the stadium. I got an eye contact of her when she gets on the bus to the hotel. Lucky me!

トモダチ曰く、「韓国の阪神タイガース」というプサンにあるロッテジャイアンツの試合を見に行ってきた。自由席3000ウォンという格安のチケットを勝ったために、階段に座って観戦を余儀なくされたものの、となりにすわっていた激アツ韓国兄さんに気に入られて、応援の仕方を教えてもらうことができた。
　このチームの四番サードの巨漢「イ・デホ」さん。WBCでも大活躍の彼はロッテジャイアンツのスーパースター。今回も3打数二安打の大活躍で楽しませてもらいました。
　韓国の野球応援は、ひとたびも鳴りやまない応援歌の応酬だった。休み時間(チェンジの時)には、なんとスクリーンでプロポーズとか、カップルを映してキスさせるとか、いろいろとやってはった。韓国は町中でキスしてる人かなりおおいよ！

強行スケジュールでプサンに到着。
海のある街はどこに行ってもオープンな雰囲気です。朝ご飯に食べたふぐのスープは9000ウォン。おいしかったけど、疲れすぎて風邪引いてしまって、それ以後ご飯口にできず。

ちなみにプサンて、「BUSAN」って書くけど、何回聞いても「B」と「P」のどっちの音かわからなかった。

韓国は日本と似てるから、ガイコクに来てる感がほとんどなし。
でも日本人と韓国人はやっぱり顔がちがうと思う。髪型とファッションが違うだけだと思ってたけど、やっぱり違います。日本人の方が美女多し。

　6,7世紀、シルクロードで使われていた漢字が今の漢字（日本の）とほとんど形を変えていないのに、サンスクリット文字から派生した「ベンガル文字、ヒンディー文字」などの文字は、サンスクリットからかなり形を変えているのは何でなのでしょうか。

漢字で書かれた教典は、あまり詳しく読む気はしなかったけど、すでに今の漢字と同じ形をしていて意味を取ることができる。でもサンスクリット語の文字は、「あ、これは　't'　ですな」「これは 'm' で、これが母音の 'o' だ」というぐらいしかわからなくて、読めそうで読めないベンガル文字のようだった。

この違いはどこから来るんだろうか。

表音文字のサンスクリットに対して、標語文字の漢字、というところが決め手なのか、
常に中国の中心に向かう漢字文化圏に対して、自らのコトバを音の通りに表していくことができるサンスクリットの表音文字の性質から、様々な民族に受け入れられて変化していったのか
